Iowa’s Third Congressional Congressman Zach Nunn describes the nature of the “People Before Politics Act” bill in how it affects federal spending. Congressman Nunn comments that he believes that the majority of the 435 members of Congress are trying to pass a budget to reduce federal spending. However, the People Before Politics Act would deny campaigning while the government is shut down unless completing work in Washington D.C. and not at a fundraiser or a cable news network. He emphasizes that representatives from both parties spend time expressing their anger over a government shut down rather than offering a solution. Nunn candidly tells Raccoon Valley Radio that it’s a waste of time.
