Officials investigating after fire breaks out at abandoned east side house

( WJET/WFXP )– Fire officials are investigating after crews were called for a blaze in an abandoned east Erie home Sunday morning.

Calls first went out for a fire at an abandoned house in the 400 block of East 6th St. at approximately 6:50 on Feb. 18.

Reported fire on W. 21st St. on Saturday afternoon

When crews arrived, they saw multiple people leaving the structure but nobody was injured.

Fire officials are still investigating what caused the fire but believe it started on the building’s second floor.
