Rap musical based in Md. follows early life of Harriet Tubman

BOWIE, Md. (7News) – In a tribute to Black History Month, The Bowie Center for the Performing Arts is hosting a rap musical depicting the early life of Harriet Tubman. “Araminta: An American Shero” presented by Concerts for Causes Inc. and KemStar Productions, is set in the 1800s in Dorchester County, Maryland, and offers a unique perspective on Harriet Tubman’s life before her role as conductor on the Underground Railroad.
