Sunday has been beautiful across the Valley despite a weak disturbance moving by to our north. The down sloping wind made for plenty of sunshine and seasonable conditions. Eventually, a weak cold front slides through later on tonight. Behind it, the winds die down and along with the clear sky, temps will tumble. Overnight lows dip back into the 20s which is average for this time of year. High pressure continues to build in, in the wake of this wave with plenty of sunshine for President’s Day. More of NW breeze develops into the day tomorrow which helps keep temps in the lower and middle 40s. Milder air starts to stream in as high pressure shifts eastward. Temps surge back into the 50s by midweek ahead of our next system. This area of low pressure is slated to arrive Thursday into Friday. As this area of low pressure continues to shift east, colder air works into the Valley. That could make for a rain/snow mix to end the workweek. The best chances for this look to be across our northern neighborhoods. Chillier air takes over briefly with temps falling back into the upper 30s and lower 40s by Saturday. It doesn’t stick around though as ridging makes for another mild stretch. Afternoon reading spike back close to 50 as we progress into early next week. The warming trend continues ahead of another storm system that looks to arrive by Tuesday. As this wave continues to move eastward, the rain chances hold into Wednesday.
