‘It’s Trick-or-treating, for adults, in February’

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Chocolate lovers in Lansing were in luck this Saturday.

People came to Old Town to take a walk–a Chocolate Walk, that is.

“People buy their tickets, they get their box, and they go around to all these 22 stores this year. And pick up their chocolates,” said Samantha Benson, Executive Director of the Old Town Commercial Association.

Each participant in the Chocolate Walk had a map showing all the stores with free chocolate.

“And just see the inside of the stores, and go shopping,” Benson went on to say. “And just have a good day in Old Town.”

Benson said it’s a great way to show people what Old Town has to offer.

“Essentially, it’s Trick-or-Treating for adults, in February, which is super fun,” she said.

And people were busy making sure to go to all 22 stores that were involved. Because, who doesn’t love chocolate–especially when it’s free.

“So far, so good,” said Jennifer Kukla. “We’ve gotten coffee, hit a couple of stores. Everybody has been really friendly and nice. And the stores are really great down here.”
