CLEVELAND (WJW) — The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued an Excessive Heat Watch for Northeast Ohio and the entire state starting Monday at 11:00 a.m. until Friday at 8:00 p.m.
Father’s Day will warm up quickly with a high of 90 along with sunshine
Monday’s high will be 96 with a feels like temperature of 102. Temps in the mid-90s will continue much of the week and into the low 90s into next weekend.
According to the NWS’s Excessive Heat Watch statement we can expect, “Prolonged dangerously hot conditions…heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.”

In addition to the heat wave, tropical like humidity will also be on the rise. Above-normal temperatures will likely continue for the remainder of June.
