Woman, 18, arrested for stealing $80K of goods from Bay Area Ulta Beauty stores: police

( KRON ) — An 18-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday in connection with thefts at multiple Bay Area Ulta Beauty stores, the Brentwood Police Department said. Taylor Martin, 18, of Brentwood is accused of stealing more than $80,000 worth of goods in total.

A BPD officer recognized Martin in a vehicle near Raley’s grocery store at 2400 Sand Creek Road on Sunday evening. She was arrested and booked into jail.

Martin stole from Ulta stores “all over the Bay Area,” BPD said.

Jail records show police had an open warrant to arrest Martin. Her bail was set at $400,000.

“At the Brentwood Police Department, we take organized retail theft extremely serious. Our dedicated officers are committed to using all available resources and strategies to prevent, investigate, and prosecute these offenses to ensure that our community remains a safe place to live, work, and shop,” BPD said.

Ulta Beauty has been a popular target for retail theft in recent years in the Bay Area. Brentwood police have reported multiple four-figure thefts from the city’s Ulta Beauty in the past few months.
