KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – After a few days of intense heat, our focus shifts to our next thunderstorm chance late Wednesday into early Thursday morning. This storm chance comes on a weak cold front that is nearing the region. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for northern areas until 1 AM Thursday morning along with portions of Kansas Counties until 1 AM. Damaging winds and hail would be the primary threat for storms that develop in the watch area. An isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out.
