VP Harris ramps up Texas appearances, experts say it might not be for votes

HOUSTON, Texas (KBTX) – It’s been just over a week since Vice President Kamala Harris became the top Democrat in the Presidential race. Since then, she’s had two public appearances in Houston. Wednesday, Harris was the keynote speaker for the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. biannual conference. This was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Downtown Houston. Harris spoke to the crowd about her intentions to run for the presidency and highlighting herself as the candidate who would protect fundamental freedoms.
