Vice President Kamala Harris is set to deliver recently deceased Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee’s (D-TX) eulogy in Houston, Texas , at about 2:20 p.m. EDT.

Lee died on July 19 at the age of 74. She was one of the longest-serving members of Congress, having taken office in 1995 for Texas’s 18th Congressional District. The congresswoman posted several times about food and water distributions in the wake of Hurricane Beryl before her death.
Harris served with Lee for four years as a senator from California and in separate branches as vice president.
