Bay Minette shooting leaves 1 injured – other gunshots under investigation

BAY MINETTE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — The Bay Minette Police Department is investigating after a man was injured in one of several shots-fired reports, News 5 has learned.

Okaloosa County suspect in spider’s death arrested

According to a BMPD press release, officers responded to a home on South Hoyle Avenue around 12:40 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, after learning about a male victim with a gunshot wound.

LOCATION:

Upon arrival, officers reportedly found a male victim with a single gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The release said, “After the initial call, Bay Minette Police Dispatch received numerous calls reporting shots fired in the same area.”

It is unknown at this time if the other calls were related to the initial shooting.

BMPD said they identified a suspect and that the investigation is ongoing.

Officials added that the suspect information is being withheld and that no arrests have been made.
