WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A $16.5 million project to replace the Southeast 36th Street bridge over Interstate 135, in Newton, is slated to start one week from Monday, Aug. 12. “The Kansas Department of Transportation project will provide a wide bridge, with two lanes and a turn lane as well as a sidewalk,” KDOT said in a news release.
