Body found at Beaver Lake drowning site

ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Emergency services are responding to a drowning incident at Beaver Lake, near the intersection of East Highway 264.

According to a Facebook update from the Hickory Creek Fire Department , their Marine Units are collaborating with the Highway 94 East Fire Department, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, and Pafford EMS at the location.

No other information has been released at this time.

UPDATE (10:28 p.m.): A body has been recovered, according to Benton County Sheriff’s Office (BSCO) Lt. Shannon Jenkins. No further details about the victim can be released at this time.

BSCO received a call about a possible drowning in the area of Hickory Creek at Beaver Lake around 8 p.m. The Benton County Dive Team was then deployed.
