MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Joining us this morning is Jeff Gardner with Daphne Baptist Church. We are talking about the start of another school year. So when kids are going back to school, whether it be Mobile County, Baldwin County, wherever…. how can families who are sending their kids to, in most cases, large secular institutions keep the faith?
Guest: I think that a big part of that is you can’t wait till the day before school starts back to start thinking about those things. We have to instill those values in our children from a very young age. We begin, as a matter of fact, you know, even before you find out you’re pregnant with your first child. You have to start praying about those things and preparing that way.
And a lot of it is about how you live your life and then instilling those values into your children and remembering what the scripture says about. Train up a child in the way you should go. And when he is old, he will not turn from it. And I think we can say when he goes to school, he will not learn from it.
