JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — Tennessee State Parks are inviting veterans to enjoy complimentary camping and golf on the birthdays of each military branch and Veterans Day.
State Rep. Rebecca Alexander (R-Jonesborough) issued a news release Wednesday, encouraging Tennessee veterans to take advantage of the “Stay & Play” deals.

The complimentary camping and golf is part of the state’s celebration leading up to the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
“Spending time outdoors is vital for anyone’s mental health, but it’s especially important for our veterans,” Alexander said in the release. “Free stay and plays are a small way we can say thank you for their service and give them an opportunity to explore Tennessee’s beautiful state parks.”
