PHOTOS: Thousands of rubber ducks dropped into Richmond canal to benefit Autism Society of Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Thousands of rubber ducks were dropped into the canal at Brown’s Island in Richmond on Saturday for the 2024 “RVA Duck Race.”

The 2024 RVA Duck Race & Festival of Inclusion was held on Saturday, Aug. 3 at Brown’s Island, where more than 18,000 rubber ducks were dropped into the canal to race to the finish line as part of a raffle to benefit the Autism Society of Virginia.

The event also featured food and live performances, as well as five Festival of Inclusion Zones, three special “Sensory Zones” and a quiet zone.
