SUMNER COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) – A woman was killed Sunday evening following a wrong-way crash on the Kansas turnpike near Belle Plaine. The Kansas Highway Patrol says just before 6 p.m. Sunday, a 2024 Toyota Crown driven by a 45-year-old Iowa man left the Belle Plaine service area and went northbound in the southbound lanes.
