Myrtle Beach locals love this chicken wing restaurant coming to Fayetteville

A Myrtle Beach chicken wing restaurant is coming to Fayetteville later this month.

Dirty Myrtle Wing Company is slated to open Aug. 28 at the former Jamaican restaurant Taste of Trelawny, 2918 Bragg Blvd., owner Troy Bennett said on Wednesday.

Bennett, 46, said the opening coincides with the first anniversary of his Myrtle Beach restaurant, where he serves chicken wings in 36 flavors of house-made sauces and rubs.

Choices range from the well-known like buffalo and barbecue to wacky ones like “white girl wasted,” which are wings rubbed with pumpkin spice and drizzled with a sweet cream cheese sauce; and “the 5-0,” a bacon doughnut-inspired flavor.

The meat is never frozen and battered by hand, he said, and sauces and rubs are original recipes.

Other popular items on the menu include fried alligator bites and smash burgers.

More than one Fayetteville-area location could be on the horizon

The new 3,600-square-foot Fayetteville restaurant will share a menu with the original location, but will not serve alcohol. Bennett said there’s a chance he may add wine and beer at some point.
