Mike Seidel joins FOX Weather just in time to report on Hurricane Debby from Florida

A familiar face was reporting from Florida as Hurricane Debby made landfall, but he was wearing a different emblem on his rain gear as he struggled to keep his footing.

Mike Seidel joined FOX Weather and was reporting from Perry and Steinhatchee in Florida. Seidel is a veteran meteorologist who spent more than 30 years at The Weather Channel.

Seidel made his debut with FOX Weather with his coverage of Hurricane Debby . FOX announced it hired Seidel in a news release Monday morning, just a few hours after viewers saw his reporting.

FOX Weather also announced Ari Sarsalari had joined the the FOX team effective Monday, Aug. 5, coming from The Weather Channel App.
