Two arrested after shooting in Monroe County

STROUD TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Two people were arrested in Florida for their alleged involvement in a Monroe County shooting after a two-year-long investigation.

According to the Stroud Area Regional Police Department, on August 2 Alexandra Hidalgo, 28, and Kylan Coombs, 25, were taken into custody in Miami, Florida, after a warrant was issued for their arrest on August 19, 2022.

Investigators stated on August 7, 2022, around 1:42 a.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 600 Block of Main Street.

Through further investigation, police said the shooting occurred after a fight in a local bar that involved three people, afterwards, Hidalgo and Coombs got into a car and then shot at a man walking in the area.

The Stroud Area Regional Police officially arrested both Hidalgo and Coombs on Monday.

The two face attempted homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide, and aggravated assault.
