HARVEY COUNTY – A $16.5 million project to replace the Southeast 36th Street bridge over I-135 at Newton is expected to begin around Monday, Aug. 12. The Kansas Department of Transportation project will provide a wider bridge, with two lanes and a turn lane as well as a sidewalk.
