Duplex burns in west Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita Fire Department battled a duplex fire shortly before 12 p.m. It happened in the 400 block of S. Robin, near Maple and Tyler

Funeral services announced for Wichita firefighter Ty Voth

Fire crews arrived to find the rear side of one duplex engulfed in flames. Crews were able to knock down the fire quickly, but the flames caused extensive damage to one unit of the duplex.

No one was injured, and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined. Due to the heat outside, firefighters got their vitals checked.

The Wichita Fire Department says vehicles that stopped along Tyler Road created a traffic problem that delayed several units from getting into the neighborhood.
