Hundreds of New Miami-Dade County Public School Teachers Begin Training

The Miami Dade public school’s new teacher induction begins today.

Schools Superintendent Dr. Jose L. Dotres welcomed 400 new teachers telling them that they are “joining the best school district in the country.”

Miami-Dade County Public Schools is the fourth largest school district in the country with 392 schools and 345-thousand students.

Dr. Dotres explains what the new teachers will learn. “The participants will engage in professional learning opportunities, including the framework of effective instruction, content-specific sessions, mentoring, and training. The sessions are designed to provide skills and knowledge, to engage participants, and inspire educators, as this year’s theme illustrates, ‘teachers are out of this world”

Public school begins next Monday in Miami-Dade and next Tuesday for Broward students.
