Let the church say amen! Indiana ranked as one of the most religious states

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – With a large number of adults considering religion as an active value in their lives, understanding the best places for religious inclusivity can be key to community.

To highlight the states that care about religion the most, nonprofit organization SmileHub compared all 50 states based on 11 key metrics from share of adults who consider religion very important in their lives to the places of worship per capita to the religion-related careers per capita.

Based on this, the study found that Indiana is ranked as one of the most religious states in the country at 7th overall. Illinois was a little further down at 15th overall, and Kentucky was around the middle of the road at 20th overall.
