Now that this Andy Beshear for veep talk is over with — I told you so! — it’s time to talk about what job the affable governor from Kentucky should get in the Harris administration. If there is a Harris administration.

For a couple of weeks now, it’s appeared that Beshear was running for something.

He appeared as Vice President Kamala Harris’ surrogate in Iowa and Georgia, and he went on MSNBC and CNN to bash U.S. Sen. JD Vance, of Ohio, as the Harris campaign tried to define him after Donald Trump chose him as his running mate.

But Beshear had to know that he wouldn’t be at the top of the pecking order.

Despite the fact that he is well liked and has won three statewide races in a decidedly red state, he really didn’t have a lot to offer to Harris.

Kentucky won’t vote for Harris over Trump

Kentucky will never vote for Harris over Trump — no matter who Harris’ running mate is. Put the Lord Almighty on the ticket with her and Trump would still win Kentucky by double digits.
