The persistent presence of West Nile Virus (WNV) in Carrollton continues to be a concern. Dallas County Health and Human Services (DCHHS) reports that several mosquito samples have tested positive for the virus over weeks. The most recent confirmation came on August 5th, when five samples from Carrollton were flagged for WNV, contributing to a total of 84 samples collected within the city this mosquito season, which runs from May to October.
