Kern County authorities have reportedly arrested three people in connection with a fatal shooting in Bakersfield. Sheriff’s deputies had responded on July 18 to a report of a shooting on the 1500 block of Mt. Vernon Ave. in east Bakersfield. The victim, identified as Robert Overdevest, had already been taken to an area hospital with major injuries, the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
