On July 23, property owners along Legends Drive approved setting up a special tax district to pay for the repairs and maintenance of the road. Before becoming reality, the move must be okayed by the Horry County Council which gave it a first reading approval in a special called meeting Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 6. It must pass two more readings to become law.
