Father, son found dead in Clearwater apartment after apparent murder-suicide, police say

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A father and son were found dead Tuesday inside of a Clearwater apartment in what is believed to be a murder-suicide, according to the Clearwater Police Department.

Police were called to the Lexington Club Apartments along South Missouri Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. after a worker reported a “foul odor” coming from one of the apartments.

Inside the apartment, police found two adult men dead. The men are father and son, police said.

Detectives believe the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide, and the names of the two men have not been released.

No other details were immediately available.
