Congresswoman Jen Kiggans visited the Eastern Shore Monday. Kiggans recently announced that total of $1,536,000 has been secured for to two local projects. She visited the HRSD’s Onancock Sewage Treatment plant. Federal funding in the amount of $1,250,000 has been awarded to HRSD for the expansion of the new sewage treatment facility on Chincoteague which is expected to pay big dividends to the current and future residents of the island.
