Edmond woman hopes someone will recognize man suspected in hit-and-run

EDMOND, Okla. ( KFOR )— An Edmond woman is hoping someone will recognize the man caught on camera hitting and damaging her car at a gas station, before driving off without stopping.

Tamarea Collins told News 4 a man driving a truck hit her car and drove off while she was filling up her car at an Edmond gas station last month.

“It had been a long day at work,” Collins said. “It was about 6:30 p.m. when I pulled into the OnCue on 33rd and Bryant.”

It all happened in just a matter of seconds.

“I had just put the nozzle into my vehicle, I think it only pumped 22 cents,” Collins said. “And he pulls away from his pump and just rammed my car.”

The store’s surveillance cameras captured her disbelief. Collins put her hands in the air as the man immediately drove away without saying a word to her.

“I was like… what? Just what is going on,” she said. “There were a lot of bystanders and it was a real spectacle. And they were all kind of in disbelief.”
