Two wildfires that started in Oregon last weekend continue to grow, prompting evacuations and destroying two homes. The 5,000-acre Elk Lane fire in Jefferson County and the 10,000-acre Town Gulch fire in Baker County both started over the weekend, drawing more than 300 firefighters total to battle the two blazes. Thirty-three other wildfires, including five megafires, are burning in Oregon, the Northwest Interagency Coordination Center reported on Wednesday.
