Amazon is boosting Louisiana’s economy, according to report

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – According to Amazon’s 2024 U.S. Economic Impact Report, the company has contributed over $2.9 billion to Louisiana’s economy. “I do have some numbers that our economic community and impact team were able to pull for us. So since 2010, Amazon has invested over $200 million in the Shreveport area, and that’s including infrastructure and compensation to our employees. Since 2010, Amazon has invested and contributed over 400 million to Shreveport area’s economy, on top of Amazon’s direct investments.” Divina Mims, the regional communications manager for Amazon, said.
