St. Pete’s week-long celebration of The Grateful Dead continues with Marcus Rezak’s Shred Is Dead

If you’re a Deadhead and haven’t seen a show during

Cage Brewing

‘s weeklong celebration of the band, you’re really missing out.

Just about every event of late has been related to the most recognizable jam band of all time, and Marcus

Rezak’s Shred Is Dead

is no exception. The band—which has played at a few post-Dead and Co. shows near The Sphere in Las Vegas—turns the songs of Jerry Garcia and friends into much longer, progressive rock-inspired pieces, while staying true to the original recordings.

So if you ever wanted to hear “Shakedown Street” with a horn section, just thank your dark stars that this show is going down.

There’s no cover to see Marcus Rezark’s Shred Is Dead play Cage Brewing in St. Petersburg on Saturday, Aug. 10.
