Armed guardians to replace school resource officers at some Broward public schools

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Armed guardians will replace or help school resource officers at some public schools in Broward County. Broward County Public Schools district pays departments $113,000 per resource officer and partners with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to run an armed guardian program to fill in the gaps.
