Albuquerque woman pleads guilty for role in gas station murder

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Diamond Salazar , accused in connection to an Albuquerque gas station murder, stopped her trial on Wednesday and pled guilty. In March 2022, Salazar and Caprice Sicilia told Estevan Lucero , Adam Sedillo , and Ty Gallegos that someone inside an SUV at the Maverik gas station on I-25 and Comanche robbed them.

Luvero, Sedillo, and Gallegos opened fire on the SUV killing Kayla Montano and injuring her fiance.

Salazar’s trial was scheduled to last until next Tuesday but she stopped the proceeding and pled guilty to second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
