NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – A North Charleston Police Department officer has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Joseph Peyton Sherwood, of Summerville, was arrested around 1:03 a.m. Wednesday by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, according to Trooper Nick Pye. The arrest happened on I-26 in Dorchester County.
