Irondale Jazz Fest happening at Beacon Park August 17

IRONDALE, Ala. (WIAT) — Mayor James D. Stewart, Jr. will host the City of Irondale Jazz Festival on Saturday, Aug. 17.

The event will be hosted at Beacon Park. Gates will open at 2 p.m. with the show itself starting at 4 p.m. Admission to the event is free.

Musicians playing at the Jazz Festival include Brooke Alford, KB’s Technique, JJ Sansaverino and Kim Scott. Food trucks from Fry It Up, Eugene’s Hot Chicken, Cheezin, Ruscelli’s and AJ’s Lemonade will be taking orders. Waters and sodas will be sold by Irondale Middle School.

The Jazz Festival is part one of a three-part concert series at Beacon Park. The series also includes Irondale’s 137th Birthday Celebration Music Festival on Sept. 28 and Country Fest on Nov. 2.

“We hosted a music festival in 2022 and 2023, and those proved to be so successful that we decided to make it a full Concert Series this year,” Mayor James D. Stewart, Jr. stated in a press release. “Events like this play an integral role in helping us to achieve our mission of building community and building the future.”
