A celebration of life was held on Thursday at Brown’s Rusty Pond in Canastota to honor Robert Popple. The Canastota native was killed when an EF-1 tornado ripped through the village in July. Popple was outside checking on his beloved antique car when he was swept away by the storm; he was 82-years-old.
