LSU’s Brian Thomas Jr. is standing out at Jaguars camp

In April, LSU had three first round picks in the NFL Draft. A lot of discussion surrounded quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receiver Malik Nabers. However, Brian Thomas Jr. is clearly ready to make a name for himself. The explosive wideout could be the deep threat the Jags desperately need.

He discussed his transition to the NFL as a rookie with the media this week.

On how influential WR Gabe Davis and WR Christian Kirk have been

Brian: They’ve been very influential on me, just coming in and helping me out each and every day, explaining to me how certain routes, how the quarterback wants certain routes to be ran, how they see coverages, and how they would run routes through certain coverages. Just me getting to learn all that, I mean, it’s just been very helpful for me…[they tell me] Just to come in each and every day, put the work in and it will all pay off.

On if the veteran receivers have helped him come out of his shell

Brian: I’ve been receptive to it. I’ve been getting a little bit more comfortable each and every day, opening up a little more each and every day, talking a lot more. Yes, I’ve been getting better each and every day.
