Spokane Police identify wanted shooting suspect in Emerson Garfield neighborhood

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department is searching for a man suspected of shooting another man in Spokane’s Emerson Garfield neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

According to a search warrant, police responded to an apartment at W. Mansfield Avenue and Monroe Street just after noon.

The 32-year-old victim had been shot while sitting in a truck and was transported to an area hospital. His current status is unknown.

According to detectives, a woman was talking to the victim when the suspect drove up alongside the truck and asked the victim, “Do you want to die, mother f*****?” before shooting him.

The victim identified the shooter to police as his “brother” 37-year-old Andrew J. Dunnagan.

The woman was interviewed by police and told them she was receiving a coin collection from the victim to pawn when the suspect pulled up in an Audi and fired one shot at the victim. She described the suspect as a white man with “scruffy” face and curly hair wearing a ball cap, blue shorts, and a black shirt.
