On the hunt: Medallions worth cash scattered near Woodburn as part of Fiesta Mexicana festivities

As part of the annual Woodburn Fiesta Mexicana this year, you’ve got a chance to win real cash prizes.

The Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce has hidden three medallions Friday, Aug. 9, on public property in North Marion County. One medallion is worth $1,000, another is worth $100 and the third is worth $50.

Not sure where to look? The chamber is releasing clues on its social media page ( facebook.com/WoodburnAreaChamberofCommerce ) randomly, starting at 3 p.m. Friday.

The Woodburn chamber is reminding participants that no hiding places require entry to private property. The medallions will not be hidden above 5 feet, so no climbing is necessary, and they also will not be buried, hidden under leaves or in landscaping — there’s no need to disturb the plants.

If you find one, call the phone number on the disc before Aug. 19 to claim your prize.

The contest is sponsored by Jen Cantu of Landmark Professional Mortgage; Bree Spencer with Team Spirit Designs who also designed the medallions; and DataVision Communications.
