Glenn McConnell Pkwy shared-use path closed from erosion

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Tropical Storm Debby continues to cause problems for the Lowcountry, this time eroding a popular shared-use pathway.

Charleston County officials say the path on Glenn McConnell Parkway between Lowes and Essex Farms is temporarily closed. Crews are scheduled to repair the eroded path next week, according to the county.

The 10-foot wide multi-use path sits next to the eastbound lanes of Glen McConnell and connects to sidewalks at Bees Ferry Road and Magwood Drive.

The path was a part of the Glenn McConnell Widening Project, which was completed in March.
