CANTON TWP. – A 35-year-old man died Saturday after a brief confrontation erupted in gunfire in a Cornell Street neighborhood. Police said in a Facebook post they were dispatched to the 200 block of Cornell Street, near the intersection of Cherry Hill and Sheldon roads, around 11:48 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, because of “reports of shots fired following a brief confrontation by the suspect toward the victim – both residents of the neighborhood.”
