ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A unique event gave women in the community a way to say goodbye to summer with some much-needed self-care.
The End of Summer Beauty Crawl at the Waxing The City’s Rio Grande location offered free beauty services such as eyebrow waxing, hair styling, and make-up touch-ups.
The event allowed some moms to unwind after a summer filled with lots of quality time with their kids, all while supporting a good cause.

Owner Jessica Carothers said, “We’re also collecting donations for the APS children that are experiencing homelessness, so there’s so much need for our community to come together and support each other, so we’re really excited to support the APS homeless project today.”
