Portsmouth Fire and EMS respond to residential fire

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Portsmouth Fire and EMS personnel responded to a residential fire on Saturday, officials said.

Crews were dispatched around 1:40 p.m. They arrived to find heavy fire coming from the attic vents of a single-story residential home. Nobody was home and the fire was brought under control around 1:50 p.m.

Two adults and a child are under investigation. The fire is under investigation and is currently believed to be accidental.
