TAMPA, Fla. (WLFA) — A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after he dove off the Anna Maria City Pier on Saturday.
According to West Manatee Fire Rescue, the boy “impacted the sea floor” after diving off the pier and was unable to “evacuate himself from the water.”
Crews were able to rescue the boy and he was airlifted to the nearest hospital for treatment.
No other information was provided.
