Beginning January first, the City of Wichita will begin charging for all downtown parking. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News it’s an effort to pay for maintenance of city facilities. She says any time the City wants to make improvements or provide a new service, officials need to consider on-going costs.
The council will discuss changes in the Ethics Ordinance and changes in the police department’s animal services procedures. In addition, the council will take a second look at the proposed budget for next year. Mayor Wu encourages citizens to attend the meetings and share input.
