TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – An onshore wind pattern continues across the Tampa Bay area. The winds coming from the Gulf of Mexico may push a shower or two along the coast this morning. The rain chance increases to 40% during the early afternoon as the storms spread farther inland.
Humidity remains high as well. Highs reach the low 90s, but it’ll feel more like 105-108.
The onshore wind continues Tuesday and Wednesday, but the overall rain chances are slightly lower. Rain still starts near the coast and spreads inland.
A cold front arrives Thursday and helps develop a few more showers. It’ll still be warm and humid with highs in the low 90s.
Right now, it looks like we do get some unseasonably low humidity for the end of the week. It’ll still be hot in the low 90s, but the heat index stays below 100! It’ll also limit the number of showers for Friday and Saturday.
Potential Tropical Cyclone 5 has developed in the Atlantic, but the forecast turns the storm to the north well east of the U.S. coast.
