Union City’s Kijac realizes dream of entertaining, brings TK Pro Rodeo to Branch County Fair

COLDWATER – Even as a small kid, Union City’s Tyler Kijac dreamt of being a cowboy.

Each summer, like so many kids across the county, Kijac would make his way to the Branch County Fair, eventually finding his way to the amphitheater for the annual rodeo, one of the most popular events of the week. During those early years, Kijac dreamt of running his own rodeo, of coming back to his hometown and putting on a show like no other. On Friday night, Kijac did just that, bringing his TK Pro Rodeo to the Branch County Fair for a night of riding, wrestling and roping.

“I was honored that the Branch County Fair board trusted me with their biggest event of the week. I know they had used the company before me for years and once they retired, I was praying I would get the chance to get my foot in the door,” said Kijac. “We get two hours to give fans a glimpse into our western heritage and the way I see it, if you do not make it memorable, the cowboy way of life will go away all together!”

As the TK Pro Rodeo website says, “TK Pro Rodeo produces sanctioned professional rodeos and bull ridings across the country. Based out of Jay, OK., the TK Ranch is perfectly located in the Northeast tip of Oklahoma. With years of experience and plenty of gold buckles in the arena we have now turned our focus into putting on world class events. In 2018 the rodeo contestants of the American Cowboys Rodeo Association voted TK Pro Rodeo to have the “Best Rodeo of the Year”.
